L’Esperance Mandolin Ensemble will perform a benefit concert for the Mediator on Saturday January 28 at 7:30 pm featuring two suites by English composer, Peter Warlock. In the early 20th century Warlock expressed his love for traditional folk music with two of his orchestral suites. Six English Tunes builds a suite for strings from anonymous English tunes from the 16th and 17th centuries. Warlock’s Capriole Suite uses themes from Thoinot Arbeau’s as the source for this inventive and much more contemporary set of compositions. January’s concert will feature selections from Verdi’s La Traviata and compositions by Michael Bell and a world premiere performance of Waxing by Jason Beals.
Come join us for a great night of music and support the wonderful community at the Mediator Fellowship.
