L’Esperance looks forward to presenting music for a summer evening at St Peter’s by the Canal on Sunday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from the concert benefit St Peter’s Music Ministry.

Our June performance will feature the well known Vivaldi Concerto for Liuto; Ralph Vaughan Williams English Folk Song Suite; Yasuo Kuwahara’s Song of Japanese Autumn; jazz and contemporary compositions by George Gershwin, Tim Ware, Astor Piazzolla, Koji Kondo; with additional pieces by our resident composers Steven Antonelli and Michael Bell.

L’Esperance features musicians from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and Connecticut of different backgrounds and ages who come together to enjoy the pleasure of making music with each other. Since 1994, l’Esperance has been sharing that joy with audiences around New England. Our music ranges from classical to contemporary, from Celtic to Klezmer, from rock standards to Baroque masterpieces.
